Homer Best was appointed by the Commission as Administrative Judge in April of 1998. Prior to his appointment he had served for six years as staff counsel to Hinds County Sheriff Malcolm McMillin. From 1988 to 1992 he was a sole practitioner in Jackson concentrating in oil and gas and real estate. He is a 1988 graduate of Mississippi College School of Law, and he holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Mississippi in Business Administration and Journalism.
