Tammy Green Harthcock has been an Administrative Judge with the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission since March 1997. Prior to that, she was a Senior Attorney with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office in the Securities Division. While there for ten years, Judge Harthcock oversaw the securities and charitable organizations registration and enforcement areas, as well as the Administrative Procedures Act filings.
Judge Harthcock was appointed to various national committees and special projects for the North American Securities Administrators. She has been a speaker for seminars and meetings across the nation on topics such as the prosecution of securities broker-dealers, the registration of investment companies and mutual funds, and the auditing of investment advisors. Judge Harthcock has also testified as an expert in securities matters in federal and state court. She was appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney in order to prosecute federal criminal securities fraud cases.
Judge Harthcock received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from Belhaven College, graduating magna cum laude. She received her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law. She earned the American Jurisprudence award in Civil Procedure during law school. She was on the Moot Court Board, Moot Court National Competition Team, and the Dean’s Student Advisory Committee.
